Liverider For Iphone

Exercise apps have been available for the iPhone since not long after the release of the first generation back in late June 2007. I personally have been using one on the iPhone 4 I received for free from freebiejeebies. What most of the apps lack currently is the accuracy you would expect from your average speed-o-meter.

The problem with the apps currently available in the market place is that they all use GPS to calculate speeds and inclines etc, with no real sensor technology built into the phone being utilised. In steps LiveRider, a the first fitness app aimed at cycling to include external sensors for increased accuracy.

LiveRider comes with an anti-shock dock for mounting your iPhone to your handle bars, giving you a clear display of your current speed, incline and even how much you’re pedalling. The other included accessory with the kit is a wireless sensor that attaches to the back of you bike, sending accurate information directly to your iPhone at a much improved rate to that of GPS calculations.
